Alexis "Lex" Irias
As a former Digital Marketer turned addictions counselor, I spent over a decade working with startups to design strategies that drive engagement and retain users on platforms. Along the way, I began to ask a questions like: “Am I part of the problem? How is this affecting the future generation? Who’s on the other side of this?”
That curiosity led me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Behavioral Health and Addiction Counseling at MSU, where I’m now combining my expertise in behavioral design and marketing with clinical knowledge to address technology addiction and maladaptive digital habits.
I’m also an instructor of Yoga and Meditation primarily teaching in Español and passionate about making wellness and holistic health accessible to Denver’s Latin community. In my full-time role as Director of Spanish Programming for Young People in Recovery, I focus on implementing psychoeducational groups and wellness events for the Spanish-speaking community. Supported by the Caring for Denver grant, these initiatives are designed to address mental health and addiction in a community where stigma often creates significant barriers to seeking help. By fostering safe, culturally relevant spaces for education and connection, I aim to break down these barriers and support healing, growth, and understanding within the community.
In addition, I’m proud to be on the board of directors for HoliHub, a nonprofit that takes a holistic approach to recovery, integrating practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
Every step of my journey—whether in the tech world or the wellness space—has fueled my commitment to being part of the solution, empowering individuals to lead more present, fulfilling lives.
This brand was developed to inspire individuals to slow down in modern living. My goal is to develop a framework that helps people hold themselves accountable over their digital behaviors. Blaming big tech isn't the solution, holding them accountable through our behavior is. This is the "put your money where your mouth is" of our generation.
The hope is to inspire the current and next generation to become digitally aware humans that value presence and human connection- a humanity that is able to communicate effectively, focus, think critically, play, and be bored.
